808nm is the workhorse of laser hair removal: deep enough to reach the follicle, with moderate melanin absorption that keeps it safe across a wide range of skin tones. The handpiece cools the skin to −16°C as it fires, so treatment stays comfortable and the epidermis stays protected. The console suggests parameters based on skin type, gender and body area rather than leaving every setting to the operator.
